The Cook River is in the South Island of New Zealand. It is also known as the Weheka River. The headwaters are on the western flanks of the Southern Alps. One of the tributaries feeding into it is the Fox River which in turn is fed by the Fox Glacier.

Note: there is also a Cooks River in Sydney, Australia.
